Embracing Procrastination

Embracing Procrastination

I’m a very productive procrastinator. the surge of energy I feel when I have something looming on the horizon (in this case, the edits Book Two of the Tunsealiorian Saga) is outstanding. I feel like I’m on top of the world. I should be editing, but instead I’m typing up blog posts like this, reading submissions for Eleventh Hour Literary (for which I am an editor), creating notebook designs (you can check out my Etsy!), reorganizing my entire idea library and note-taking system, and starting three new crochet projects simultaneously! It’s really quite impressive.

I don’t have a solution for this—the edits will get done. I’m trucking along at them, with ample breaks. When they are done, I will sit back for a time (probably a week) before starting the draft of book three. I’ll ponder another project (I currently have 5 unfinished projects waiting in the wings) and maybe, just maybe, I’ll finish one. Time will pass. Life goes on.

In the meantime, though, I’m procrastinating.
